A visit to Chikugo Regional Park during spring, where Linaria flowers bloom in full color. The article captures a sunny day spent with my son, enjoying the flower fields, spotting Shinkansen trains, and appreciating the natural beauty of the park.
I went to the Chikugo Regional Park Flower Field with my son.
This time of year, Linaria (Toadflax) is in full bloom, and the scenery looks just like something out of a picture book.
Under the clear blue sky, I’ll share memories of this day with my son surrounded by vivid flowers.
It was a perfectly clear day, with blue skies contrasting beautifully with the pink and white Linaria flowers.
In the distance, you can see a monument modeled after an ancient stone figure excavated from a local burial mound.
Surrounded by this vast flower field, we felt the full beauty of nature.
As we walked up the hill, we could see Chikugo-Funagoya Station on the Kyushu Shinkansen in the background.
Every time a train passed by at high speed, my train-loving son was thrilled.
It’s a great spot where you can enjoy both flowers and trains.
My son ran down the hill full of energy.
Seeing him run through the flower field was like a scene from a movie.
The wide-open space of the park made it a joyful place for kids to run freely.
We took a peace sign photo in front of the blooming Linaria.
Wherever we looked, the entire area was filled with flowers, making us truly feel the arrival of spring.
Near Chikugo-Funagoya Station, Evening Primroses were also blooming in the foreground, creating an even more vibrant scene.
In the back right, you can see the Kyushu Geibunkan, where various cultural events are held.
Among the Linaria flowers, we found California poppies and several other varieties blooming together.
The flower field is designed as a "Meadow Garden," featuring a natural blend of diverse flowers rather than just one type.
In spring, the flower fields at Chikugo Regional Park burst into bloom with a wide variety of colorful flowers.
The contrast between the Linaria flowers, blue sky, and Shinkansen was stunning, and I had a great time with my son.
It’s such a wonderful place that we’ll want to visit again every year.
